In light of the recent and rapid outbreak of COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus, and in conjunction with statewide efforts to limit the community spread of the virus, BE Free is making some temporary changes to our services and ministry programs. We want to emphasize these are precautionary measures and will be monitored and adjusted as necessary.

Given the concerns that many of you have expressed over the COVID-19 outbreak, as well as council we have received from medical professionals, we are cancelling all services scheduled for this weekend. This includes Saturday Evening Worship, Sunday School, Sunday Morning Worship, Choir Practice, and Youth Group. Online giving is available at or using the mobile app for Give+. This service can facilitate both one-time and recurring donations. We are looking into the possibility of streaming services or providing a similar alternative and will monitor changes from week to week.

BE Free Kids will not meet for the next two weeks. Again, as the overall situation with COVID-19 progresses, adjustments will be made. At this time, however, all Children’s Ministries are suspended through March 27. Mastering Motherhood will take place virtually, rather than onsite in the church facility through April 30. Please contact Lois Chamberlain with any questions specific to this ministry. Decisions have yet to be made regarding Men’s Group, Youth Group (beyond this weekend) and the Women’s Bible studies. This is a very fluid situation. As changes occur, we will make further information available through email and social media.

Additional cleaning is taking place to ensure that our building is sanitized going forward. We are focusing on wiping down surfaces and using hospital-grade disinfectant throughout the church. Extra soap is available in each restroom; wall dispensers with hand sanitizer are available in the middle foyer and narthex; hand sanitizer is also available in the sanctuary. Doors and door handles are regularly sanitized. Signage and reminders for personal hygiene are being placed throughout the church.

While it is not advisable to be in close physical contact with each other during this time, we encourage you to maintain fellowship with one another through phone calls, texts, emails and social media. Let’s continue to lift up our church family, neighbors, communities and nation in prayer during this time. If you have not yet joined our facebook group, this is a great time to do so, just search for BE Free Church.
